FAQ:
Where will my donations go? Will they benefit a mother or children in need?
Donations of baby gear, clothing, and supplies are placed in The Cottage, our on-site baby and children’s boutique. Clients earn Cottage Cash by attending Mama Club and Baby Steps classes, as well as by participating in educational activities and appointments.
Clients use their Cottage Cash to “shop” for everyday necessities—like clothing and hygiene items—for their children. These essentials are intentionally priced so they can be earned through regular class participation, allowing families to meet immediate needs while building consistency and confidence.
Clients are also encouraged to save their Cottage Cash for larger items such as pack-n-plays, strollers, high chairs, and other baby gear. Learning to budget and plan for these purchases is an important part of the experience.
For many clients, using Cottage Cash is their first opportunity to provide for their child without having to ask for financial assistance. The Cottage not only serves as a meaningful incentive for class participation, but also as a vital resource that supports families as they work toward stability and independence.
FAQ:
What are “board books” and where will my donation of new or gently used books/board books go?
A board book is a type of children’s book printed on thick paperboard. Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach gives away about 50 board books each week to teen parents and their children who attend Mama Club. Emphasis on the importance of reading is just one of the many parenting skills taught to our teen parents to ensure the health and well-being of their babies. You can help support Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach’s endeavor to improve early childhood literacy through your gift of books or board books.
FAQ:
I don’t have any baby items, but I’m interested in supporting your ministry monetarily. How can I do that?
We are grateful for all the financial support! Learn more about making one-time and recurring donations on here. (You will be redirected to our GiveSmart donation form.)
